My son, college student, was working in a great company, Lady foot locker, had the offer to work for GNC and quit his job because they promise him more hours and better pay. His immediate supervisor didn't know anything about the store and without give him any training gave him keys of the store and he had to be learning by himself, a week after been working they want him to go to cover a manager in another store, really?

he said he dint feel he was prepare for that and that manager call him threatening him ad told him he will get him fired. They wait couple weeks, and all of the sudden the manager told him you are terminated because you don't have your P-3 %. They're asking for a ridiculous % of 45% in some products.

No verbal, written warning or final warning. WORSE company and supervisors are uneducated people that doesnt know how to train new employees.

We are investigating GNC and their employment practices. If sometime over the past three years you worked for GNC and if you are currently an ex-employee of GNC, we would like to talk to you about your experiences working for them. If you are interested in talking with us, please email me at saramyles85@***.com and give me your name, phone number and best time to call

Your son is in collage. It is time to let him figure out how to handle situations like this on his own.The more you coddle him and speak up for him will only hurt him in the long run. He needs to figure this one out himself. You were not at his job with him you really do not know what happend.I have learned by raising 3 successfull adults you have to let them learn some things by themselves.I have also learned that 95% of stuff that comes out of a teens mouth is usally a lie.So let your son grow and learn to be a indepentdent man.Coddleing him will only hurt his growth.

I worked there 5 years ago. All the hire-up's are VERY unprofessionall and do underhanded illegal things.

Wow. I love reading this stuff. Scares me to think what is being taught by some parents

1. Most states are hire at will. Meaning, you do not need a reason to fire. As stated above, you cannot discriminate

2. Why would this parent be writing about their son. Let him grow up and put on his big boy pants

3. If this is a sales job as implied, not sure if it is or not, then there are goals set with every organization that have to be met. Again, I do not know if this is a sales job or not

4. Dads or Moms, if you are going to write something like this, defending poor little Jr. check your grammar and spelling.

ur son is obviously not cut out for sales. have him go ring up *** at walmart!

Give it up wimps. I'm sure he/she got fired because they could not do thier jobs. I just wanted to reviews on some of their products, not wimp ex-employees.

The reason they made him take on so much so quick is becosue nobody wants to work for the crapbag company. And the reason is simple.

You are pretty much instructed to lie to people and push to sell the products that make the company the most money.

In turn people keep quiting once they see what kind of deceiving company gnc really is. I worked there years ago and finally quit becosue i refuse to sell muti vitamins to a lady who wants a fat loss product and i have to lie and tell her how a multi-viatmin is gona help her lose fat better than a fat burner.

Call an attorney before accepting the below advice. You can take anyone to court for most any reason, but success is harder to come by. In this state, no warning is needed and you can fire for any reason except discrimination.

You can actually take them to court for firing him without a warning! and also for being a professional employer's they need to take action's arround their work place first & not be un reliable and careless for other staff's member's that dont have any clue what he or she is doing with out the employer guideing them first.

I say fight for your son!

its worth the fight. So no other company will do the same to anyone else!
